Surrounding the statue's base are custom-engraved bricks, which can be installed in time for the next Grant Days. To purchase one of these bricks, print and mail our order Order Form.
Erected in the north corner of the courthouse square, the statue was the culmination of years of dedicated work between the Association and the village of Georgetown. Based on a statue in capitol rotunda, the marble base is engraved with portraits depicting his time as general and president.
Located in a small park on the north corner of the square, Grant stands with his sword and overcoat, face set south to the river beyond. His uniform bears four stars, denoting him as Commanding General of the United States Army.
